Pay attention all of you Mixed Martial Arts fan. The big Affliction fight card that was scheduled for August 1 has taken a big blow after MMA fighter Josh Barnett tested positive for an illegal substance in a test conducted by the California State Athletic Commission. Due to the positive test results, the CSAC has refused to give Barnett his license to fight. Unfortunately for the guys running Affliction, this is a big blow as they needed to do well with the Pay-Per-View rights for the fight.
Although their are a number of possible replacements, none will be able to replace Barnett’s draw. Some of the fighters that may get lucky are middleweight Vitor Belfor, Heavywieght and former WWE wrestler Bobby Lashley, Paul Buentello or Fabrico Werdum.
