In case you didn’t get enough of the WSOP during the months of May through July, the WSOP Circuit schedule was recently released. Featuring 11 stops, this year’s 2009-2010 line-up will see players from all across the United States vying for the WSOP Circuit championship ring. Arguably the choice of local grinders throughout the U.S., the WSOP Circuit Events may not have a monster buy-in, but they do offer plenty of play for a good value.
According to WSOP President and Commisoner Jeffrey Pollack, the traveling tournament series brings a taste of the WSOP to players that otherwise might not have a chance to play. “World Series of Poker Circuit Events are a great way to gain live tournament experience, get a feel for what the World Series of Poker is all about and have a lot of fun,” Pollack said in a recent WSOP press release.
In addition to offering players a chance to feel as though they were playing in a smaller version of the WSOP, CMO of Harrah’s Entertainment David Norton also believes that the events are a great way to intorduce potential Harrha’s customers to their properties. “WSOP Circuit Events are a great way to welcome new guests to Harrah’s properties around the country. Whether you are a new player or a casino regular, you will find a great playing experience,” said Norton.
This year’s schedule begins October 16, 2009 Horeshoe Hammond (Chicago area). The tour includes stops at Harrah’s properties in Southern Indiana, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City, Tunica, Council Bluffs (Iowa), Rincon (Southern California), St. Louis (new this year), Las Vegas and New Orleans.
