BookMaker Review
Visit Website or Download Instantly
A new name bringing together a pair of experienced favorites, BookMaker.com bundles the old Sportsbook and Racebook sites under one classy and easy-to-use website, and throws in a surprisingly competitive poker and casino site for a total online gambling experience. How do they measure up to the best online sports betting destinations? Our review examines the important details…
Gameplay 8/10
The site design oozes style and also manages of plenty of substance. BookMaker claims to have the lines before (or at least no later) than anyone else — “where the line originates”. They definitely have a thorough major-league and big name lineup, though fans of international and lesser-known sports may find their options more limited here. The racebook covers all the territory you’d ever need, however, and the types of wagers (including office pools and parlay cards) make BookMaker second to none in many respects.

Getting started could not be easier. BookMaker takes you step-by-step through a quick sign-up process (accompanied by a picture of a friendly telephone helper that you probably won’t even need to speak with) and you’re ready to go in minutes. Your account and all important information is always one step away, and placing bets and getting the important info and statistics is a one- or two-click process once you’re a member.
For racebook bettors, a virtual option is provided for those times when there are just no thoroughbreds running. Nice to be able to enjoy the sport anytime, rain or shine. Additionally, there is more information immediately available on racing than I’m used to seeing on most other sites, but placing bets at the racebook seems to be by phone only, which is relatively unusual online.
Promotions 7.5/10
A 20% sign-up bonus starts things off, with a 10% reload bonus on every subsequent deposit. The refer-a-friend bonus is 10%, and racebook bettors can also enjoy an 8% rebate daily. Not bad at all; I’ve seen more generous promotions, but not many. BookMaker.com seems to care more about quality than quantity, which is never a bad thing.

Customer Service 10/10
A full list of telephone and email contacts indicates that BookMaker will be there for you when you need them. Wagering and customer service operators are available toll-free 24/7. I really can’t ask for more from a support system, and the online security seems to be of the highest quality. BookMaker doesn’t skimp when it comes to help info, FAQs, and general assistance, either, so I’m happy to award them the highest customer service rating that I have to give — all other online sportsbooks should take notice.
Wrap Up
BookMaker.com puts me in the odd position of changing the balance of my usual sportsbook reviews. Generally, I’m more impressed by the site’s betting options than I am by their support options, but in this case the opposite is true. I think BookMaker is a site that has learned through years of experience to start from the ground up, forging a loyal customer base with rock-solid structure and personal attention. I commend them for that, but I found a few curious details (promotions and bet variety, mainly) that were lacking compared to most of the best online sports betting sites. All-in-all, as long as BookMaker handles the kind of bet that you want to make, they do a wonderful job of it. I predict that once their reach extends a little further, they will be the online sportsbook to beat.
