Diamond Gal Casino is a refreshingly different take on the typical online casino format. Before I even begin the review, I recommend that anyone interested in online casino websites should stop by, even if it’s only to see what an online casino looks like when there’s actually some real taste and creativity in the design.

Gameplay 9/10

Some casinos are download-only, which makes some groups of people unhappy (for instance, Mac and Linux users, or Windows users who have full hard drives and/or phobias about malware). Thankfully, some casinos offer an online version as well, which is a step in the right direction…except that there are usually fewer games, fewer choices, or (worst of all) lower quality.

Diamond Gal Casino, however, is entirely online-only, which should make nobody unhappy. Every game is playable online…and, I might add, every game I tried was quite attractive and amazingly fast. Even the lobby is a joy to behold; it was really like stepping into a casino, right down to the architecture and floor layout. Every once in a while I ran into a lag or failure to recognize my selection in the lobby or individual rooms, but never while playing an actual game.

The main page, the lobbies, and the individual games all pop up in their own windows. This may take some getting used to, but it is by far the best way to keep track and see everything that is going on. And once it is open, you have control over all the options. It’s a very user-friendly system, and look amazing.

The 100% welcome bonus and 25% re-load bonuses should keep most players perfectly happy. I’m sure once more people discover the site, Diamond Gal will keep growing and growing, and soon we’ll see the kinds of additional perks and prizes that the best online casinos tend to offer. For now, it’s just nice to make my money go a little farther.

Nothing is perfect, and my one wish is that Diamond Gal Casino would offer a 24/7 live chat and/or telephone support option. Email is good for many things but immediate or intermittent problems really should be addressed while they’re happening. Certain pages did not want to load, or required a security exception in my browser, which does not thrill me, and there was a definite lack of FAQ and help documents available from the site.

Wrap Up

Diamond Gal is, quite honestly, part of the wave of the future. You’ve hard about Web 2.0, but this may be the first real online casino website that takes advantage of 21st Century thinking. From the lovely graphics and familiar arrangements, you’d be forgiven for not realizing what a big step forward this casino really represents. Still, a few more people are going to need to notice before they can truly compete with the big boys…but I’m willing to bet that when the time comes, Diamond Gal Casino will come out ahead.
