Everybody seems to be getting into the online bingo game, and with good reason: it’s a lot of fun, and it’s big business these days. No wonder that The Sun decided to try their ink-stained hands. Enter Sun Bingo, and it’s up to us to find out if they’re a me-first player or just a me-too player…

Slicker and more software-savvy than in previous generations, the new Sun Bingo interface runs smoothly even when it’s packed with players (as it very often is). It looks the business as well, with attractive graphics that stop short of taking the too-cute route of many other online bingo parlours. Big buttons and bright colours are the rule, though lurking behind all that deceptive simplicity is a reliable piece of modern gaming software. All varieties of bingo are on tap, as well as a nice selection of minigames, chat games, and otherwise unrelated games if you ever happen to reach bingo overload. I must say I’ve rarely seen online bingo done better than the Sun Bingo.

You might expect the sign-up bonus matching 100% (up to £100) of your first deposit. You might even read without surprise all of the ways that you can play for free and still win real money. However, consider the fact that they’re giving away 100 cars. Consider that Sun Bingo regularly has winners in the neighborhood of £1000, often several times in one day. Sure, the Sun is the tenth biggest newspaper in the world, so it can probably afford to give away sums like that — that’s not the question. The question is, why not to you?

Customer Service 8/10

No real worries there: the phone and CMs are yours 24/7 to help with anything that may come up. The email is there if you need it, but from my experience, I don’t expect that you will. I rarely had a problem that the CM (or another helpful member of the chat) didn’t clear up almost immediately, and I’ve never had to resort to the telephone, let alone the email. Still nice to know that the option is there, just in case.

Wrap Up

I wasn’t completely expecting the online Sun Bingo parlour to be as impressive. The software was better than I’d hoped, the people were wonderful, and I think you’ll have plenty of fun. The chat games and little side pastimes will probably occupy your time more than the bingo, and the chat probably even more than that. But no matter how you have your fun, there’s plenty of fun to be had. Looks like it really is the Sun wot won it.
