Ultimate Bet Poker Review

Any poker player on the planet right now has probably heard (or will soon hear) about Ultimate Bet Poker. Promoting (and promoted by) the World Series of Poker, responsible for (or caused by) the recent mass Texas Hold’em sensation, and one of the leading players in the current online poker revolution, Ultimate Bet is truly at the highest level.
Call me what you wish (I’ve heard them all), but I have to know for sure if the reputation is justified. So we’ll take a closer look, kick the tires, and see if it’s truly all it’s cracked up to be.
Gameplay 9.5/10
The look and feel of real poker. Usually well-playing games don’t look great, and great-playing games don’t look all that impressive. I’ll stop short of saying “amazing” (Cake Poker, among others, has a better-looking game) but I can’t complain one bit. Traffic is all you could want, with plenty of choice of bet amounts and skill level. And if you can handle multitasking, Ultimate Bet supports multiple simultaneous tables.

Promotions 10/10
Let’s see…111% sign-up bonus up to $1100. Hard to beat. Constant tournaments with six-figure winnings. Prizes for playing extremely well, and prizes for playing terrible. Vacations, cars, and merchandise. No, it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to deduct any points in this category.
Customer Service 8/10
A-ha! Email only, and only guaranteed to respond in 48 hours. That’s where the cracks show. Of course, I’ve never heard of anyone having a problem…and there’s plenty of easy-to-find information on the site…and they do have the most stable and secure software in the business. So I guess I can’t be too hard on Ultimate Bet. If they did have telephone operators, they’d probably be bored to death.
Wrap Up
When it comes right down to it, there are only a few online poker sites that exist in this league. Phil Hellmuth and Scott Ian don’t just hang around for the free t-shirts. I would have loved to burst the bubble and dispel the hype, but aside from some minor customer service omissions, it’s really hard to beat Ultimate Bet.
